STOCKBROKING
OUR VALUE PROPOSITION

"Prescient Securities is a niche BEE stockbroking firm that is primarily focused on the institutional market."

Prescient Securities (PSEC) is a premium BEE stock broking firm that is primarily focused on the institutional market. We offer efficient trade and execution services as well as a diverse research competency. At PSEC we pride ourselves on being a dynamic and progressive, client-focused stockbroking business. We started the business in 1999 and focus on backing up innovative technological enhancements with meticulous research. This has resulted in us most recently launching an integrated international institutional trading platform that allows our clients to trade, clear and settle internationally.

Our value proposition stands on four pillars:

  • Quality Execution
  • Focused Value-Add Research
  • Strong BEE Credentials
  • Confidentiality

Trade services span the equity, derivative and fixed income markets. We provide focused research across these markets coupled with an economic research product.

At PSEC we attribute our success to our client-focused culture. We are proud of the fact that AQRate rating agency recently awarded PSEC an official "Level 2” rating for our BEE initiatives. Being a level 2 contributor allows our clients to claim 125% of money spent with us for BEE purposes. However, because Prescient Securities is a Value-Adding Enterprise there is a 1.25 multiplier on all money spent with us. Prescient Securities clients can therefore claim 150% (125% x 1.20) of money spent with us for BEE purposes.

PSEC is a 51% Black-Owned, with Prescient Holdings owning 49%.
