We are looking for a motivated Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team and help protect Prescient’s information systems and networks from cyber threats. In this role, you will play a critical part in monitoring security platforms, analysing security incidents, researching new threats, and implementing security measures to mitigate risks and improve the overall security posture. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will also support the conduct of security assessments and audits and provide training to users to increase security awareness. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implementing security measures to prevent and mitigate cyber-attacks, such as firewalls, encryption, and access controls.
  • Conducting regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and assess overall security posture.
  • Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the field of cybersecurity.
  • Monitoring and analyzing security systems to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Conducting security investigations, responding to security incidents, and documenting findings.
  • Communicating security risks and incidents to stakeholders and management.
  • Staying current with security certifications and continuing education opportunities to maintain expertise in the field.
  • Asist in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to information security.
  • Work closely with the IT teams to enhance and ensure overall security posture.
  • Evaluate existing security measures regularly to ensure their effectiveness.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and respond to security incidents.
  • Knowledge of security principles and technologies, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and regulations, such as NIST and PCI DSS.
  • Knowledge of programming and scripting languages, such as Python, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, and macOS.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • A desire to learn and keep up to date with the latest security trends and technologies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a cyber security analyst.
  • Higher Level Microsoft / Networking / Info Security qualification / accreditation.
  • Digital Cloud Certification in infrastructure and security.
  • Knowledge of security principles and technologies, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems, as well as programming and scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.

  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve security incidents and identify opportunities for improvement.
