What excites you the most about investment/financial markets?
The investment management industry is forever changing which allows you the opportunity to continuously grow and further develop your skillset as you progress throughout your career. The same goes for financial markets, there's constantly geopolitical, environmental, and economic events happening around the world and the effect of these events has a ripple effect on financial markets. This allows us to always be aware of what’s happening in the world around us and ask questions about why certain market moves happened and what was the effect on the markets.
Why do you believe Prescient's Graduate Programme can help you achieve your current career goals?
I always knew I wanted to go in the direction of the Investment Management industry however I never knew the exact direction I wanted to go in. The Prescient Graduate Programme has given me the perfect opportunity to explore the different divisions within an Investment Management company. The programme will allow me to rotate through various divisions and gain meaningful hands-on experience which will assist me in finding my niche.
What advice would you give a new graduate starting their career?
Networking is one of the most important life skills especially being a graduate entering the job market. Don't be scared to reach out to individuals and ask for advice.
